Itinerary

DÍA 1 Arequipa – Chivay – Coporaque

07:30 – 08:00 hrs: Pickup from your hotel to start the journey to Chivay.

  • On the Way:
    Stop at the Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve to observe alpacas, llamas, and vicuñas in their natural habitat. Continue to the Andean Viewpoint to enjoy panoramic views.
  • 12:00 hrs: Lunch in Chivay, with options featuring local cuisine.
  • 13:00 hrs: Visit the village of Coporaque and take a 1-hour hike to the San Antonio archaeological site, where you’ll explore pre-Inca and Inca tombs at Yuraq Q’aqa.
  • 15:00 hrs: Visit the Cultural House to learn about local traditions and daily life, accompanied by a performance of traditional dance.
  • 16:30 hrs: Relax in the hot springs, enjoying a moment of rest in this natural setting.
  • Optional: Visit a restaurant with live traditional music and dance (additional cost) to end the day.
DÍA 2 Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint – Maca Village – Arequipa

06:00 – 06:30 hrs: Depart for the Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint, the best spot to observe condors in flight. Enjoy a 40-minute hike along the edge of the canyon.

  • On the Way Back:
    Stops at the viewpoints of Antahuilque, Wayrapunku, and Choquetico, followed by a visit to the charming village of Maca, known for its colonial church and artisanal crafts.
  • 12:00 hrs: Lunch at a local restaurant, featuring regional specialties.
  • 13:00 hrs: Begin the return trip to Arequipa (or connection to Puno), taking in the beautiful landscapes along the way.
  • 17:30 hrs: Arrival at your hotel, concluding a day filled with unforgettable experiences and scenery.
